Food Styling, Editing and Photography
Whistler, British Columbia
August 23 - 27, 2012
Aran Goyoaga, the author and photographer of the uber popular blog Cannelle et Vanille will be leading a photo styling, editing and photography workshop in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. (my stomping ground!)
At this Ace Camp you will be living in the mountains for 4 days, riding a gondola to the top of Whistler and walking for a picnic and photo shoot with food you have helped to prepare. We'll head to North Arm Farm in Pemberton for a lunch and styling session, wander through the farmers market to buy produce for your final instructional session...and more.
This workshop will review Aran’s process from procuring ingredients, cooking, styling, understanding light and how to manipulate it, composing a shot, and photographing it, all in various indoor + outdoor settings. Students will get to watch Aran work through her personal creative process and learn styling, editing and food photography tips with Aran's own personal guidance.
Requirements: Students must have thorough understanding of their camera settings and basics of photography like aperture and shutter speed. Also, they should bring their SLR camera with favorite lenses. Tripod and laptop (with photo processing software) recommended, but not required. Bring an apron as we will all be contributing to the making of the meals.
